International Olympics Committee Evaluates Games Postponement as Opposition Mounts

Skift Take: Amid growing concerns from athletes and sports officials, the IOC has given itself four weeks to evaluate scenario planning for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Some of the scenarios include postponement for up to two years. This is the first time postponement has been publicly discussed as a possible scenario since the coronavirus outbreak has spread worldwide.
