Out-Of-Work Elephants in Thailand’s Tourism Sector Return Home to Wait Out Crisis

Skift Take: Coronavirus unemployment is also exacting a toll on elephants working in Thailand’s tourism sector, but returning to their owners’ home villages would be a stop-gap measure unless more sustainable ways are found to maintain their daily upkeep.
